As the Master of a Seacat vessel working on an offshore wind farm you will be responsible for the professional delivery of a safe, effective and high quality service to our clients. Working within the framework of our Integrated Management System (IMS), with the support of the shore-side team in head office, you will be the manager of all activity onboard.
For this role we require a minimum Deck Certificate of Competence of Master Code Vessels <200GT (Not more than to 150 Nm from a Safe Haven)
plus the following certification as a minimum:
- STCW Elementary First Aid
- STCW Sea Survival
- STCW Fire Fighting
- STCW PSSR
Please note: We require that all STCW basic training should have been completed within the last five years
- Medical Fitness (ENG1)
- Food Hygiene (MCA Approved Ofqual Level 2)
- Oxygen Provider (Level 2)
- Automatic External Defibrillator (AED Level 2)
- Slinger & Banksman
- IMDG Training (to meet 1.3.1.2.1 General awareness)
- Crowd Management on Passenger Ships
- Restricted Operator’s Certificate (ROC) or GMDSS General Operator’s Certificate (GOC)
- Human Element, Leadership and Management (HELM) - Operational
- ECDIS Generic Training (NAEST or NARAS Operational Level)
The following qualifications are not essential, but desirable if held:
- Proficiency in Medical First Aid
- Proficiency in Medical Care
- Stability, such as an MCA Approved Stability Course (Workboat <24m)
- Navigation and RADAR, such as, NAEST or NARAS or MCA Small Ships Navigation & RADAR Course
- Advanced Fire Fighting
